EXTERNAL COMPETITIONS

In addition to our monthly club competitions, we have the opportunity to enter external competitions that are held through other groups and associations.  These can either be club participation or individual participation.  For the club participation competitions, CdCC handles the fees associated with entering.

 Club Participation

 Photographic Society of America (PSA)

New Jersey Federation of Camera Clubs (NJFCC)

Photographic Society of America (PSA)

International Club Slide Competition (ICSC)

Competitions are held in October, December, February and April with a final competition in June to pick the Best of the Year from the monthly winning entries. Last year there were 102 clubs entered in 5 different categories. The designations are A,B,C,D & E.  We started in the E group. Each year the top 5 clubs move up to the next higher Group and the lowest 5 clubs drop one Group.

The results are published on this website: http://www.psa-csd.org/icsc.html

Rules:

  • We are allowed 6 entries per competition, with no more that 2 from any one member.

  • The maximum size is 1024 x 768 pixels at a resolution of 300 pixels in a jpeg format. (Don't worry if your images are too big, we can make them fit. )

  • Submit photos to us on a CD with up to 10 images on it. These can be submitted to Kristina Kaye at any of the CdCC meetings. (CD may be kept for later use in the competition season). Please write your name on the CD along with your email address so we can notify you when we are done with your images.)

  • The images must be titled so we can identify them for this competition.  (Please don't just give us images such as DSC00643.jpg.  We need an actual title for this competition.)

If you need additional information you can check out the web site mentioned above or contact Kristina Kaye at 609-918-0603.

Competition Year 2007-08

NJFCC Print Competition Requirements:

The subject matter of these competitions is open, so submit your very best work.  This is an opportunity to stack your work up against other camera club members’ in the state.  Accepted entries are scored independently by three judges.  The reported score is the accumulated total of the three judges.  There is no critique.

There are two categories and two classes in each print competition: Color Prints (Class A and Class B) and Black and White Prints (Class A and Class B).  You may submit up to three prints each in Color and B/W categories, all in the same A or B class.

Entries must be submitted at the designated CdCC club meeting.  The CdCC competition committee will select club entries from the submitted images at the following External Competition Committee meeting which everyone is invited to attend.

The club may enter 18 prints in each category and class.
